Envisioning the bathroom
I did a sketch of the way we envision our new bathroom, but unfortunately it was with crayons and paper and we do not have a scanner. I did, however, create a montage of ideas we've been having of the bathroom. We are thinking of a sliding glass door on the bathtub with matching white marble counters and tile floors, along with the elements pictured below:

I love the fixtures you've picked! Is that a nickle finish? And what a fany-shmancy sink! The white marble will be beautiful. Are you planning on dark cabinets too?
ReplyDeleteYeah, we like the contrast of the light paint and the dark wood. Yes, it is a brushed nickle finish :) The sink is cool - it sits on top of, rather than inside of, the counter.
ReplyDeletei'm surprised we have such similar taste. we're in the process of replacing everything with brushed nickle. just bought the guest bathroom faucet yesterday with a gift card - it was hard to find one under $100! we've replaced about half of the brass door knobs but still have to replace the hinges, and we've done all of the fixtures in the master bath, now moving on to the guest bath. we don't have enough money to do it all at once.

We Bynum women know what we like, and we like what looks good! Looking at the prices for everything has been scary, for sure, but we are not opposed to gently used items. There is this wonderful place in Missoula called Home Resource where people can take and sell their old fixtures/hardware/doors/windows for people to buy at a discount. We have already been a few times and it seems to be very promising!
